Session 9 · May 2027
Year-end showcase + SY27.28 curriculum vote
45 minutesAll staff
Goal
Celebrate a year of real classroom use, then have the staff decide, by vote, what the AI PD keeps, adds, and cuts for SY27.28.
Prep
- Line up 2–3 build-artifact presenters (from Track B if it ran; otherwise workshop-showcase alumni) and 2–3 teacher use cases (5 min each).
- Poll control ready with the keep / add / cut questions (and a takeaway word cloud).
- A one-slide recap of the year's nine sessions to anchor the vote.
- The Practitioner Showcase open to capture final entries.

Showcase · the year in the room
- Presenters show the artifacts they shipped (a custom GPT, a prompt library, a routine, a family one-pager).
- Two or three teachers share a use case that stuck. Keep each to 5 minutes, real over polished.
- You: draw the through-line, name how far the room has come since the summer session.

Hands-on · vote on next year (laptops open)
The participatory work is the decision itself. Run a structured keep / add / cut:
- Keep: which of this year's sessions or practices earned their place? (poll)
- Add: what's missing, a subject, a topic, a deeper track, a student-facing session? (word cloud, then cluster live)
- Cut: what didn't land or isn't worth the time? (poll, and make it safe to say)
- Discuss the top items for a few minutes; the vote informs the SY27.28 plan, it isn't binding, and say so.
Watch Make "cut" genuinely safe, honest signal here saves next year. Don't defend; capture.

Close · one word, then thank you
Do Push the takeaway word cloud ("one word for AI in your classroom this year"), read a few, and compare to where the room started in the summer. Thank them.
After the session
- Write up the keep / add / cut results into the SY27.28 PD plan for the working group and board update.
- Post final showcase entries.
